Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ionel Pavel started the match with the kick off. Ionel Pavel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Vanvucesti booed when FC BUCURESTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grigore Tănăsie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 6 minutes, Emanuel Bostan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vanvucesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Bostan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eusebiu Corbu's late challenge caught a Vanvucesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusebiu Corbu helped the player get up and apologised. Eusebiu Corbu kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Codrin Pantiș made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Lucian Spârlea sent off a good shot on target. Codrin Pantiș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Spârlea in the 18th minute of play. Alin Vrabie succeeded in the game's 19th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Alin Vrabie's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Codrin Pantiș firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, FC BUCURESTI's Grigore Tănăsie got a free kick in the 28th minute. Emanuel Bostan lost his temper 34 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The crowd rose to their feet as FC BUCURESTI's Petre Oneț slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Codrin Pantiș. That made the score 2-0 after 35 minutes of play. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vanvucesti's goalkeeper Codrin Pantiș, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Codrin Pantiș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigi Huțanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Gigi Huțanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Codrin Pantiș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gigi Huțanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eduard Spânu hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Basarab Baicea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Mircea Ispir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 58th minute of the match Eusebiu Corbu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eusebiu Corbu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 58th match minute, FC BUCURESTI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebiu Corbu to maneuver through the defense. After 60 played minutes FC BUCURESTI got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Spânu. Basarab Baicea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Mircea Ispir when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 66 minutes of play, FC BUCURESTI's Gigi Huțanu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Codrin Pantiș was left in no man's land by his defense there! 68 minutes into the match, Gigi Huțanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Codrin Pantiș. Vanvucesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gigi Huțanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 79 minutes into the match, Vanvucesti's goal looked a bit too open when Lucian Spârlea came free, but Codrin Pantiș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basarab Baicea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Codrin Pantiș stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gigi Huțanu's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Vanvucesti's Codrin Pantiș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucian Spârlea in the 91st minute of play. Codrin Pantiș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigi Huțanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the FC BUCURESTI players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
