Spectators: 7152 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 152) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gigi Huțanu took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Petruț Amărculesei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Tomoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionică Tomoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Huțanu in the 5th minute of play. Mircea Ispir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Pătrășconiu in the 11th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC BUCURESTI's Mircea Ispir got control of the ball when Panait Şteflea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ionică Tomoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Spânu in the 16th minute of play. Diudiu's Ionică Tomoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petruț Amărculesei in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of FC BUCURESTI booed when Diudiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pompiliu Mantoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dan Pătrășconiu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ionică Tomoiu was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Gigi Huțanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gigi Huțanu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. In the 56th minute, Dorin Vârșan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mircea Ispir was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. With 60 minutes on the clock, Lucrețiu Vladimirescu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 61 played minutes Diudiu got a freekick which was hit by Lucrețiu Vladimirescu. FC BUCURESTI's Petre Oneț couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Diudiu. Pompiliu Mantoiu's late challenge caught a FC BUCURESTI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pompiliu Mantoiu helped the player get up and apologised. Gigi Huțanu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 64th playminute. Ionică Tomoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Spânu in the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Gigi Huțanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Ionică Tomoiu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72nd play minute Gigi Huțanu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ionică Tomoiu. 1-5. In the 76th minute, Dorin Vârșan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ionică Tomoiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gigi Huțanu in the 81st minute. Thanks to some nice moves Eduard Spânu could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Ionică Tomoiu however easily saved by the left post. In the 84th minute, FC BUCURESTI's Gigi Huțanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ionică Tomoiu. Ionică Tomoiu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. Ionică Tomoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduard Spânu, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Avram Inculeț made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC BUCURESTI's Eusebiu Corbu. When Gigi Huțanu came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the FC BUCURESTI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gigi Huțanu couldn't finish the play. After 95 minutes, Petruț Amărculesei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC BUCURESTI and the Diudiu players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 95 played minutes FC BUCURESTI got a freekick which was hit by Petruț Amărculesei. FC BUCURESTI's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
