When Lucian Spârlea got free in front of the goal in the 11th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Claudiu Mirciulescu was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Narcis Ciompec's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mircea Ispir was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucian Spârlea in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudiu Mirciulescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leontin Todoran received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mircea Ispir came out and tried to block the shot, but Leontin Todoran slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 24th minute. Avram Colceriu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mircea Ispir firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Avram Colceriu got free with Mircea Ispir in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the match, FCU 1948 CRAIOVA's goal looked a bit too open when Lucian Spârlea came free, but Claudiu Mirciulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grigore Tănăsie took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claudiu Mirciulescu. FC BUCURESTI's Mircea Ispir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Ciompec in the 53rd minute of play. FC BUCURESTI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucian Spârlea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mircea Ispir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avram Colceriu in the 91st minute of the match. FC BUCURESTI's Eusebiu Corbu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 94th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Claudiu Mirciulescu but with some difficulty. Mircea Ispir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narcis Ciompec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
