The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Gigi Huțanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mihai Semeghin made in the 5th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Rosalio Rescuro immediately put the ball in play. Gigi Huțanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Alexandru Cucerzan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C.S. Rafo Onesti's Rosalio Rescuro got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 26 minutes of play, C.S. Rafo Onesti's Romeo Teişanu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mircea Ispir was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th match minute, C.S. Rafo Onesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosalio Rescuro to maneuver through the defense. In the 34thth minute of the game Gigi Huțanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.S. Rafo Onesti's Alexandru Cucerzan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th match minute, C.S. Rafo Onesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Teişanu to maneuver through the defense. Gigi Huțanu came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alexandru Cucerzan could save by the left post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rosalio Rescuro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, FC BUCURESTI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petre Oneț to maneuver through the defense. Rareș Coja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mircea Ispir having to interfere. FC BUCURESTI's attentive Lucian Spârlea managed to snatch the ball when Mihai Semeghin made a throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 70th match minute, FC BUCURESTI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petruț Amărculesei to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Petre Oneț in the 72nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by C.S. Rafo Onesti's Mauricio Palban. Petruț Amărculesei kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Mihai Semeghin made in the 82nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Rosalio Rescuro. A sloppy throw-in by Mihai Semeghin in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC BUCURESTI's Petruț Amărculesei. Eduard Spânu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandru Cucerzan having to interfere. In the 94th minute of the match Petre Oneț shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandru Cucerzan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The C.S. Rafo Onesti players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
