Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Rapid București 1923's goalkeeper Sabin Tutunaru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cornel Ciungu. Sabin Tutunaru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicodim Curtean went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 10th minute, FC Hermannstadt's Cornel Baldazar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cornel Baldazar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Hermannstadt protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cornel Baldazar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Sabin Tutunaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Grămescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 18th minute, FC Hermannstadt's Panait Tache dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Edgar Vernescu took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sabin Tutunaru. Sabin Tutunaru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Rapid București 1923's Sabin Tutunaru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Rapid București 1923 from getting a goal against them. Cornel Ciungu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Sabin Tutunaru made a huge save. Sabin Tutunaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cornel Ciungu in the 31st minute. 36 minutes into the match, Panait Tache dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sabin Tutunaru, 5-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cornel Ciungu got free with Sabin Tutunaru in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cornel Ciungu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Sabin Tutunaru made a huge save. Sabin Tutunaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Vernescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Edgar Vernescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Hermannstadt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horea Bleoancă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Rapid București 1923 defense, Panait Tache kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sabin Tutunaru. The Rapid București 1923 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sabin Tutunaru should have stopped the shot. Sabin Tutunaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Tache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sabin Tutunaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Grămescu in the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Rapid București 1923's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Vernescu came free, but Sabin Tutunaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Edgar Vernescu came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the FC Hermannstadt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Vernescu couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Cutberto Reina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valeriu Buzea was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. FC Hermannstadt's Valeriu Buzea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save FC Hermannstadt from getting a goal against them. Sabin Tutunaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Tache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panait Tache blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sabin Tutunaru having to make a save. Rapid București 1923's Sabin Tutunaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panait Tache in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Edgar Vernescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sabin Tutunaru was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Sabin Tutunaru came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Hermannstadt's Cornel Ciungu. But to his dismay, Cornel Ciungu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Sabin Tutunaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornel Ciungu in the 86th minute of play. The nice shot from Călin Buricea in the 91stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Valeriu Buzea had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. A collision led to FC Hermannstadt getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Aristide Creangă hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Hermannstadt had played much better football throughout.
