Mihai Zegreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cătălin Mușat, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. The Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc's Cătălin Mușat looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mihai Zegreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Mușat in the 10th minute of play. Eric Avramescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugen Lalescu kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Baran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mihai Zegreanu was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Virgil Şantău didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Emanuel Baran came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Baran couldn't finish the play. If Marcu Sandu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mihai Zegreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Baran in the 52nd minute of play. If Cătălin Mușat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dragoş Vochin during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc booed when CS Botosani BTF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dragoş Vochin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Cătălin Mușat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mihai Zegreanu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mircea Blajovan. After 66 minutes CS Botosani BTF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gigi Angheloiu who took care of the corner kick. Lucian Onaca hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. CS Botosani BTF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Emanuel Baran scored to the left of an out of position Mihai Zegreanu, making the score, 0-4. Cătălin Mușat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Mihai Zegreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc played a much better game than CS Botosani BTF and deserved their victory. The CS Botosani BTF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
