Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Horaţiu Ispir started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute Mugur Atanasiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Ciucă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sorin Mihoc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Cârlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc booed when Tautau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Ţugui didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Baran in the 17th minute of play forced Tautau's goalkeeper Andrei Ciucă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes Tautau got a freekick which was hit by Nicolae Pânzariu. After a defensive mix-up in Tautau's zone, Cătălin Mușat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrei Ciucă came out of the goal and Cătălin Mușat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cătălin Mușat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Andrei Ciucă made a huge save. In the 27th minute, Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc's Marcu Sandu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Marcu Sandu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andrei Ciucă came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcu Sandu slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 37th minute. In the 41st minute Horaţiu Ispir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sorin Mihoc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damian Cârlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sorin Mihoc having to interfere. Andrei Ciucă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Baran in the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Baran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Tautau defense, Emanuel Baran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrei Ciucă. The Tautau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrei Ciucă should have stopped the shot. After 56 played minutes Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc got a freekick which was hit by Marcu Sandu. After 62 played minutes Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Baran. Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc's Sorin Mihoc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horaţiu Ispir in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc's Marcu Sandu got a free kick in the 67th minute. Damian Cârlan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Sorin Mihoc made a huge save. In the 69th minute Horaţiu Ispir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sorin Mihoc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Tautau's Horaţiu Ispir sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sorin Mihoc narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tautau's Andrei Ciucă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Atanasiu in the 88th minute of play. Andrei Ciucă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cătălin Mușat, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 96th minute, Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Horaţiu Ispir fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the referee ended the match the Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
