In the 30th match minute, GSBC Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Bujor to maneuver through the defense. In the 38thth minute of the game Remus Nuțu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GSBC Cluj-Napoca's Mircea Udroiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Poli Iași's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GSBC Cluj-Napoca the free kick. The supporters of GSBC Cluj-Napoca booed when Poli Iași was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Baldu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87thth minute of the game Remus Nuțu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GSBC Cluj-Napoca's Mircea Udroiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mircea Udroiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remus Nuțu in the 89th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remus Nuțu in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mircea Udroiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, GSBC Cluj-Napoca's Mircea Udroiu got control of the ball when Remus Nuțu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The GSBC Cluj-Napoca supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Poli Iași's performance. The match ended with a win for Poli Iași.
