Remus Nuțu started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Olimpiu Luca took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Mihai Zegreanu to make any attempt to save it. 9 minutes into the match, Remus Nuțu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mihai Zegreanu, 2-0. After a rather tough play, CS Botosani BTF's Lucian Onaca got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute, Remus Nuțu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mihai Zegreanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 22 minutes into the game, Olimpiu Luca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Mihai Zegreanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. CS Botosani BTF's Mihai Zegreanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save CS Botosani BTF from getting a goal against them. Mihai Zegreanu had great luck who in the 31stth minute grab hold of the ball when Remus Nuțu from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Remus Nuțu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Mihai Zegreanu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. George Baldu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 35 minutes, Olimpiu Luca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poli Iași's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olimpiu Luca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Luca in the 43rd minute of play forced CS Botosani BTF's goalkeeper Mihai Zegreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remus Nuțu in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mihai Zegreanu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alex Tarcu made a kick off. Aurelian Stroia made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Alex Tarcu sent off a good shot on target. Mihai Zegreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remus Nuțu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Remus Nuțu put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mihai Zegreanu. Olimpiu Luca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Mihai Zegreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mihai Zegreanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remus Nuțu's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After a rather tough play, CS Botosani BTF's Dragoş Vochin got a free kick in the 64th minute. Remus Nuțu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Remus Nuțu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Mihai Zegreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Remus Nuțu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poli Iași's supporters rose to their feet, but Remus Nuțu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihai Zegreanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Poli Iași's Remus Nuțu in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CS Botosani BTF's goalie prevented a goal. Remus Nuțu struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Mihai Zegreanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poli Iași. A collision led to CS Botosani BTF getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Dragoş Vochin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remus Nuțu in the 86th minute of play forced CS Botosani BTF's goalkeeper Mihai Zegreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CS Botosani BTF's Mihai Zegreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergiu Gherguț in the 87th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remus Nuțu in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mihai Zegreanu saved CS Botosani BTF from getting behind. 91 minutes into the match, Poli Iași's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Tarcu came free, but Aurelian Stroia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dragoş Vochin hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 94th match minute, CS Botosani BTF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horia Bogrea to maneuver through the defense. Mihai Zegreanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remus Nuțu's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Poli Iași fully deserved thier win.
