Anton Stamatiu had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Cristinel Nicorici's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a long run with the ball, Cristinel Nicorici did a trick in the 12th minute in front of Brentford FC's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 1-0. An impressive performance by Nastase's Cristinel Nicorici! Octav Iorgulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Stamatiu having to interfere. The supporters of Nastase booed when Brentford FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustin Vătafu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anton Stamatiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remus Vlădoiu in the 18th minute. When Marcu Șerbulescu fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brentford FC's protests and gave Marcu Șerbulescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th minute, Marcu Șerbulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Nastase's Anton Zâncă seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Anton Zâncă the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Nastase protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Anton Zâncă had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 28th match minute, Nastase was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Zâncă to maneuver through the defense. After 28 played minutes, Brentford FC's Albert Robu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eusebiu Mareș came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Eusebiu Mareș was a little too slow when Petre Golescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 1-2. After a rather tough play, Nastase's Daniel Vulpe got a free kick in the 59th minute. After 60 played minutes Brentford FC got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Vătafu. Felix Stolniceanu kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Petre Golescu took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eusebiu Mareș. Eusebiu Mareș dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Nastase's Octav Iorgulescu got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute Remus Vlădoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Stamatiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octav Iorgulescu struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Anton Stamatiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nastase. Remus Vlădoiu scored 2-3 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anton Stamatiu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Augustin Vătafu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugen Bârlea during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Nastase's Eugen Bârlea got a free kick in the 94th minute. The Brentford FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
