Suska's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 15th minute Valer Murărașu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornel Mereacre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Suska's Cornel Mereacre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Suska from getting a goal against them. After 16 played minutes Suska got a freekick which was hit by Toader Dordea. Cornel Mereacre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valer Murărașu in the 19th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Suska's goal looked a bit too open when Panait Pupăzan came free, but Cornel Mereacre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Suska's Cornel Mereacre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinand Pădureanu in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Panait Pupăzan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fc Barcelona b fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panait Pupăzan in the 60th minute of play forced Suska's goalkeeper Cornel Mereacre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Frățilă in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sabin Stănculescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 66 minutes into the match, Suska's goal looked a bit too open when Valer Murărașu came free, but Cornel Mereacre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ferdinand Pădureanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornel Mereacre was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vali Mara couldn't finish the play. Edgar Frățilă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sabin Stănculescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Toader Dordea struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Sabin Stănculescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Suska. Suska's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
