In the 3rd match minute, Suska was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Vernescu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Suska getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Dragoş Aursulesei hit a great ball. Cosmin Nenițescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 6th minute, Iacob Crișan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Suska's Edgar Frățilă got a free kick in the 10th minute. Cosmin Nenițescu in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cornel Mereacre, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Edgar Frățilă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marin Stoicu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cazimir Vernescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dumitru Uncu kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Cosmin Suciu's late challenge caught a Suska's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cosmin Suciu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Suska booed when Varsand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosmin Suciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marin Stoicu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Frățilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cornel Mereacre made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Lucian Posteucă sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the match, Suska's Edgar Frățilă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marin Stoicu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Varsand's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Frățilă came free, but Marin Stoicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Cornel Mereacre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorel Aaxiniei in the 63rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Frățilă got free with Marin Stoicu in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute, Edgar Frățilă made a precise shot to the right of Marin Stoicu. Varsand's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Cazimir Vernescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornel Mereacre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosmin Nenițescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Marin Stoicu was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Edgar Frățilă capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edgar Frățilă really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Cazimir Vernescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Stoicu having to interfere. Marin Stoicu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dragoş Aursulesei. Suska's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
