Spectators: 7765 (Terracing: 5825, Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valeriu Povară started the match with the kick off. Suska's Cornel Mereacre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcu Ardelean in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Valeriu Povară made a precise shot to the right of Cornel Mereacre. Suska's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Valeriu Povară managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sterpoaia CS's supporters rose to their feet, but Valeriu Povară was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornel Mereacre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Suska defense, Valeriu Povară kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cornel Mereacre. The Suska fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cornel Mereacre should have stopped the shot. 20 minutes into the match, Valeriu Povară had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cornel Mereacre. Suska's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valeriu Povară was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After some careless play in the Suska defense, Valeriu Bodea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cornel Mereacre. The Suska fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cornel Mereacre should have stopped the shot. Cornel Mereacre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valeriu Povară, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cornel Mereacre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valeriu Povară went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Edgar Frățilă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Suska's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Frățilă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frederick Kallquist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valeriu Bodea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Cornel Mereacre made a huge save. A collision led to Sterpoaia CS getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Nae Ţiriac hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute Valeriu Povară shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornel Mereacre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iacob Crișan kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Valeriu Povară took a quick shot and it went in 1-8 without a chance for Cornel Mereacre to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iacob Turcescu during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iacob Turcescu kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Sandu Arvinte kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cornel Mereacre. That made the score 1-9 in the 82 minute of play. When Iacob Turcescu came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Sterpoaia CS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iacob Turcescu couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Suska's Cornel Mereacre got control of the ball when Iacob Turcescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cornel Mereacre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valeriu Povară in the 89th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Suska's zone, Valeriu Bodea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornel Mereacre came out of the goal and Valeriu Bodea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
