Marin Stoicu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Chira in the 20th minute of play forced Varsand's goalkeeper Marin Stoicu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Dacian Săvulescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marin Stoicu. That made the score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. Matei Rotariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosmin Nenițescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Marin Stoicu made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Panait Unciuleanu sent off a good shot on target. Marin Stoicu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dacian Săvulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the game, Cosmin Nenițescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Matei Rotariu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cosmin Nenițescu to strike the kick off in the second half. George Pitiș kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Panait Unciuleanu's late challenge caught a Varsand's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Panait Unciuleanu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th match minute, Steaua Somcuta MM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panait Unciuleanu to maneuver through the defense. Panait Unciuleanu took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marin Stoicu. Marin Stoicu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 63 minutes into the game, when Albert Druță put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Varsand fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! 67 minutes into the match, Panait Unciuleanu notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Varsand's Marin Stoicu. Marin Stoicu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Panait Unciuleanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Stoicu having to interfere. Bogdan Bodnar hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Marin Stoicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dacian Săvulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dacian Săvulescu in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marin Stoicu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lucian Posteucă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Matei Rotariu made a huge save. Marin Stoicu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from George Pitiș went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Matei Rotariu made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Lucian Posteucă sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Varsand booed when Steaua Somcuta MM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dacian Săvulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steaua Somcuta MM walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
