Iurie Miclescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Silviu Fetanu made a huge save. In the 11th match minute, Arsenal Giulesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panait Grămescu to maneuver through the defense. After 15 played minutes Arsenal Giulesti got a freekick which was hit by Eric Feteanu. Iurie Miclescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Silviu Fetanu made a huge save. Aristide Axinte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Tâlvescu in the 27th minute of play. Vali Barbăsură received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Silviu Fetanu came out and tried to block the shot, but Vali Barbăsură slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 29th minute. Aron Mercea's late challenge caught a Arsenal Giulesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aron Mercea helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Sector 3's Aron Mercea got a free kick in the 36th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Arsenal Giulesti's goal looked a bit too open when Gelu Bobeica came free, but Aristide Axinte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 41 minutes, Gelu Bobeica managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Sector 3's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gelu Bobeica was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, FC Sector 3's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Iurie Miclescu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aron Mercea was the one to do the kick off. Silviu Fetanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vali Barbăsură went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 58 minutes into the match, Arsenal Giulesti's goalkeeper Aristide Axinte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cazimir Văduvescu. Panait Grămescu kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Panait Grămescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arsenal Giulesti's Aristide Axinte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dacian Moromete in the 63rd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Arsenal Giulesti's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Tâlvescu came free, but Aristide Axinte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silviu Fetanu came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Arsenal Giulesti's Iurie Miclescu. But to his dismay, Iurie Miclescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 69th match minute, Arsenal Giulesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alin Bojin to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dacian Moromete in the 70th minute of play forced Arsenal Giulesti's goalkeeper Aristide Axinte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, FC Sector 3's Leonard Banu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leonard Banu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Sector 3 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leonard Banu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 78 played minutes FC Sector 3 got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Banu. After having played for 79 minutes, Iurie Miclescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Vali Barbăsură came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Arsenal Giulesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vali Barbăsură couldn't finish the play. The Arsenal Giulesti players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
