Cezar Tănase was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ernest Mavrodin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 20th playminute. Gelu Bobeica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Sector 3's Aron Mercea got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vali Şerb got free with Silviu Fetanu in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 33 played minutes CSM Resiţa got a freekick which was hit by Vali Şerb. In the 34th minute, Gică Rotariu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernest Mavrodin got free with Silviu Fetanu in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Sector 3's Silviu Fetanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save FC Sector 3 from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute, Andrei Arvinte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, CSM Resiţa's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Tâlvescu came free, but Ferdinand Pandrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panait Mirea hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Ernest Mavrodin made a precise shot to the right of Silviu Fetanu. FC Sector 3's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisc Dragota to make the kick off. Aron Mercea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Ferdinand Pandrea made a huge save. Nistor Tâlvescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Ferdinand Pandrea skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 60 minutes of play, FC Sector 3's Nistor Tâlvescu made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferdinand Pandrea was left in no man's land by his defense there! Silviu Fetanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vali Şerb in the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to FC Sector 3 getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Andrei Arvinte hit a great ball. Ferdinand Pandrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nistor Tâlvescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisc Dragota in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silviu Fetanu saved FC Sector 3 from getting behind. Leonard Banu lost his temper 82 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, FC Sector 3's Leonard Banu got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, CSM Resiţa's Panait Mirea tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Sorin Alamaru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silviu Fetanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Petruț Feraru during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 90th minute, Petruț Feraru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nistor Tâlvescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Pandrea having to interfere. After a rather tough play, CSM Resiţa's Vali Şerb got a free kick in the 92nd minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Sector 3 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CSM Resiţa.
