Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alex Turcan made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the match, Alex Turcan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Călin Bădoi, 1-0. In the 7th minute of the match Mircea Botescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Călin Bădoi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Luca Flintașu fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Fortuna's protests and gave Luca Flintașu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute Alex Turcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Călin Bădoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, FC Fortuna's Călin Bădoi got control of the ball when Ion Jităreanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Cristi Apostolescu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Village Superstars C.F.'s Remus Carabulea. Remus Carabulea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Remus Carabulea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Mihăescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristi Apostolescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Carabulea having to interfere. Basarab Mihăescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 39 minutes, Liviu Albescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Fortuna and the Village Superstars C.F. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Village Superstars C.F. booed when FC Fortuna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Albescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute Valer Brănescu managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Mihăescu in the 54th minute of play forced Village Superstars C.F.'s goalkeeper Remus Carabulea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC Fortuna booed when Village Superstars C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorel Macovei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basarab Mihăescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Remus Carabulea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristi Apostolescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remus Carabulea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Basarab Mihăescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 66 minutes into the game, FC Fortuna's Cristi Apostolescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remus Carabulea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Remus Carabulea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basarab Mihăescu in the 70th minute of the match. Ion Jităreanu hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, FC Fortuna's goal looked a bit too open when Cătălin Zberea came free, but Călin Bădoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Village Superstars C.F.'s zone, Dragoş Bourceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remus Carabulea came out of the goal and Dragoş Bourceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basarab Mihăescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remus Carabulea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After 79 minutes Village Superstars C.F.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bogdan Nistorescu who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Village Superstars C.F.'s Ion Jităreanu got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Village Superstars C.F.'s goalkeeper Remus Carabulea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Basarab Mihăescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
