Cristinel Berbec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gică Mardarie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Ferdinand Pandrea made a huge save. Cristinel Berbec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernest Mavrodin in the 9th minute of play. Cristinel Berbec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Mavrodin, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, CSM Resiţa's goal looked a bit too open when Vintilă Stroiescu came free, but Ferdinand Pandrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferdinand Pandrea made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Gică Mardarie sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in -PSC- Craguis's zone, Ernest Mavrodin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristinel Berbec came out of the goal and Ernest Mavrodin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Liviu Frățilă kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Pârlea in the 22nd minute of play forced CSM Resiţa's goalkeeper Ferdinand Pandrea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdinand Pandrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Pârlea, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute of the match -PSC- Craguis got a corner. CSM Resiţa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Călin Măgurean ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Călin Măgurean got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ferdinand Pandrea quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cristinel Berbec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisc Dragota in the 25th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Gică Rotariu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristinel Berbec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ernest Mavrodin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vintilă Stroiescu made a kick off. Ernest Mavrodin charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernest Mavrodin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd match minute, CSM Resiţa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernest Mavrodin to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the game, Gică Mardarie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. -PSC- Craguis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CSM Resiţa the free kick. A collision led to -PSC- Craguis getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Gică Mardarie hit a great ball. In the 61st play minute Francisc Dragota came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cristinel Berbec. 0-1. Cristinel Berbec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisc Dragota in the 64th minute of play. Francisc Dragota's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cristinel Berbec firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gică Duldurescu kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in -PSC- Craguis's zone, Francisc Dragota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristinel Berbec came out of the goal and Francisc Dragota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute, -PSC- Craguis's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Francisc Dragota fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in -PSC- Craguis's zone, Ernest Mavrodin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristinel Berbec came out of the goal and Ernest Mavrodin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CSM Resiţa's Francisc Dragota got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 93 minutes of play, CSM Resiţa's Francisc Dragota made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristinel Berbec was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match was over CSM Resiţa could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than -PSC- Craguis throughout the match.
