The audience thought a goal was coming when Tudor Nae got free with Alexandru Cezar in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 10 minutes, Robert Vlădean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doklin FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Vlădean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robert Vlădean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petre Conta charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petre Conta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Petre Conta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Doklin FC's Silviu Mândru got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute Robert Vlădean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugurel Cerchez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert Vlădean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petre Chiriloaie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Alexandru Cezar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Petruț Gorgan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Doklin FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Grove Street the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Doklin FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! In the 36thth minute of the game Robert Vlădean who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Grove Street's Mugurel Cerchez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, FC Grove Street's goal looked a bit too open when Silviu Mândru came free, but Mugurel Cerchez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Doklin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Petre Chiriloaie came free, but Alexandru Cezar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Silviu Mândru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Petre Chiriloaie was the one to do the kick off. Olimpiu Miclea kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Silviu Mândru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd match minute, FC Grove Street was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petre Conta to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, Paul Râznicu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Grove Street's Mugurel Cerchez didn't even have to move. If Silviu Mândru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Robert Vlădean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silviu Mândru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Mugurel Cerchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silviu Mândru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Doklin FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Silviu Mândru hit a great ball. Robert Vlădean could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Mugurel Cerchez made a huge save. In the 86th minute, Silviu Mândru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mugurel Cerchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Mândru in the 88th minute of play. After 96 played minutes FC Grove Street got a freekick which was hit by Tiberiu Almăgean. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Doklin FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
