Sebastian Bîlbă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugurel Cerchez having to interfere. If Petre Chiriloaie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Varsesti's Răzvan Uncheşelu in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Varsesti booed when FC Grove Street was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiberiu Almăgean didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Bîlbă got free with Mugurel Cerchez in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mugurel Cerchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Răzvan Uncheşelu, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Răzvan Uncheşelu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Mugurel Cerchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Răzvan Uncheşelu, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Mugurel Cerchez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Răzvan Uncheşelu's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Petre Conta's late challenge caught a Varsesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petre Conta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th minute, Petre Conta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes, Varsesti's Mihnea Zdrenghea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mugurel Cerchez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Varsesti reached it. Petre Conta kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After some careless play in the FC Grove Street defense, Răzvan Uncheşelu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mugurel Cerchez. The FC Grove Street fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mugurel Cerchez should have stopped the shot. The supporters of FC Grove Street booed when Varsesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Bîlbă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Bîlbă was in a good position and ended up with the ball after Varsesti's free kick, but he didn't get a good hit on the ball and blazed it high and to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Varsesti fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Grove Street had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
