After a rather tough play, Manau's Florin Capșuneanu got a free kick in the 4th minute. Vlad Gogu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Răzvan Uncheşelu in the 5th minute of the match. Adam Suşu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stelian Hurezeanu in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Manau's Adam Drăgan got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Sebastian Bîlbă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 minutes, Mircea Bocaneț mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manau and the Varsesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Manau getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Mircea Bocaneț hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Bîlbă got free with Vlad Gogu in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vlad Gogu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Răzvan Uncheşelu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florin Capșuneanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Adam Suşu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Varsesti's goalkeeper Adam Suşu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Răzvan Uncheşelu made the kick off in the second half. Adam Drăgan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
