To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Vermis's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Ciucă came free, but Cosmin Ilarie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Panait Văcărescu made a precise shot to the right of Mădălin Oblemenco. Jidvei Regal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Cosmin Ilarie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Ciucă in the 27th minute of play. After 39 minutes, Nechifor Hănescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vermis and the Jidvei Regal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cosmin Ilarie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Teofil, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Jidvei Regal's goal looked a bit too open when Ion Aldulea came free, but Mădălin Oblemenco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Jidvei Regal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vermis were winning 2-3.

Vlad Frunză took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cosmin Ilarie. Cosmin Ilarie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-5. Jidvei Regal's Mădălin Oblemenco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panait Văcărescu in the 98th minute of play. The Jidvei Regal supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Vermis's performance. The match ended with a win for Vermis.
