When the match had been going on for 8 minutes, FC Grove Street's Avram Bădescu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cezar Eftimiu. In the 10th minute Aron Dănănae suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 10 minutes, Petre Conta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Grove Street and the Bicau players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bicau booed when FC Grove Street was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petre Conta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Răzvan Cernea kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Petre Chiriloaie might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cezar Eftimiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petre Chiriloaie ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iosif Petriceanu during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iosif Petriceanu kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Tudor Nae received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Cezar Eftimiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Răzvan Cernea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugurel Cerchez having to interfere. Mugurel Cerchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionel Macovei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viorel Mascovescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Răzvan Cernea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Mugurel Cerchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Răzvan Cernea to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Răzvan Cernea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bicau's supporters rose to their feet, but Răzvan Cernea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mugurel Cerchez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the game, Bicau's Ionel Macovei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mugurel Cerchez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Iosif Petriceanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Răzvan Cernea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugurel Cerchez having to interfere. In the 71st match minute, FC Grove Street was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petre Conta to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iosif Petriceanu got free with Mugurel Cerchez in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes into the match, Răzvan Cernea notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of FC Grove Street's Mugurel Cerchez. Mugurel Cerchez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Viorel Mascovescu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mugurel Cerchez firmly grabbed it by the left post. Răzvan Cernea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Mugurel Cerchez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. A collision led to FC Grove Street getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Petre Conta hit a great ball. If Viorel Mascovescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Bicau could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Grove Street throughout the match.
