With an all-out effort, EMF Academia's Cosmin Ilarie threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mick Shilton, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavius Gheorghe in the 92nd minute of play forced Vermis's goalkeeper Cosmin Ilarie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Mick Shilton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cosmin Ilarie. Vermis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mick Shilton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7.
