The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonny Doro got free with Cornel Ioanițiu in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Taranesti CS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Aristide Vâtcă scored to the left of an out of position Cornel Ioanițiu, making the score, 3-0. Ionel Gafița might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cornel Ioanițiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. When Ionel Gafița came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Brisca Sarasau -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionel Gafița couldn't finish the play. Valentin Mineață in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cornel Ioanițiu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A hard shot 46 in the game by Valentin Mineață from a close distance when the talented Cornel Ioanițiu managed to make a qualified save. Taranesti CS's players were relieved. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.
