CS FLORESTI's Emil Bâru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cătălin Panait in the 13th minute of play. Emil Bâru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Șerban Ciolacu, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Șerban Ciolacu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Șerban Ciolacu in the 23rd minute of play forced CS FLORESTI's goalkeeper Emil Bâru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Săvulescu's late challenge caught a CS FLORESTI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Săvulescu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Olimpia FC's Sebastian Săvulescu got a free kick in the 24th minute. The supporters of Olimpia FC booed when CS FLORESTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Bute didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Cârju recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Olimpia FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Sebastian Săvulescu hit a great ball. Emil Bâru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cătălin Panait, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cătălin Panait recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damian Bute kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After having played for 48 minutes, Ivan Bălan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CS FLORESTI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Bălan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin Bara during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th match minute, CS FLORESTI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Bara to maneuver through the defense. Vintilă Hurdubețiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Pașcanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, Cătălin Panait left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olimpia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 77 played minutes CS FLORESTI got a freekick which was hit by Aron Pașcanu. After 80 minutes, Marian Muntean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CS FLORESTI and the Olimpia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in CS FLORESTI fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! CS FLORESTI:s Emil Bâru showed great skill when he stopped Robert Cârju:s penalty. During the 84th minute of the match Sebastian Săvulescu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sebastian Săvulescu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Ivan Bălan scored 1-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vintilă Hurdubețiu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olimpia FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing CS FLORESTI to leave the ground with a draw.
