Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gelu Scaeru kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Costică Reznic during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th minute, Costică Reznic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Predoni's Aristide Datcu in 8 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Maxim Giurăscu guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Dan Stănciulescu's late challenge caught a Predoni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dan Stănciulescu helped the player get up and apologised. Dan Stănciulescu hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Zagavia's Maxim Giurăscu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristide Datcu in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Aristide Datcu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Petruț Elian kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Aristide Datcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxim Giurăscu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maxim Giurăscu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gelu Scaeru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maxim Giurăscu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristide Datcu, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Gelu Scaeru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxim Giurăscu having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Damian Caranfil took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Tiberiu Baican to make any attempt to save it. Predoni's Tiberiu Baican played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucrețiu Tufescu in the 44th minute of play. A collision led to Zagavia getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Dan Stănciulescu hit a great ball.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Radu Torouţ to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Zagavia's Radu Torouţ nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiberiu Baican made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 61st minute Aristide Datcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxim Giurăscu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Zagavia getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Damian Caranfil hit a great ball. When Aristide Datcu came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Predoni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristide Datcu couldn't finish the play. If Radu Torouţ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Predoni's Aristide Datcu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maxim Giurăscu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Gelu Scaeru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 78th minute, Radu Torouţ left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zagavia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 81 minutes into the game, Aristide Datcu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maxim Giurăscu. Aristide Datcu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Aristide Datcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Maxim Giurăscu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Predoni's Costică Reznic got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damian Caranfil's late challenge caught a Predoni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Caranfil helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes Zagavia got a freekick which was hit by Damian Caranfil. A collision led to Predoni getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Emanuel Trapcea hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Predoni's zone, Radu Torouţ stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiberiu Baican came out of the goal and Radu Torouţ tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Predoni players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zagavia.
