When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alex Brad made a kick off. Grigore Sfetcu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 57 minutes of play, Universitatea Cluj's Grigore Sfetcu made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maxim Zdrăilă was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 61st minute, Emil Stănciulaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maxim Zdrăilă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panait Alamaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Sfetcu in the 69th minute of play forced Argintari CSM's goalkeeper Maxim Zdrăilă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Universitatea Cluj's Adrian Barascu got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Argintari CSM's Maxim Zdrăilă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigore Sfetcu in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Sfetcu in the 76th minute of play forced Argintari CSM's goalkeeper Maxim Zdrăilă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Adrian Barascu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Universitatea Cluj's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nechifor Bădiță was slow to take the kick. During this time Argintari CSM's players had a chance to rest.
