The referee showed Ionuț Lucrețiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ionuț Lucrețiu hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 43 played minutes Botesti got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Apostolescu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damian Stroie in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ovidiu Bourceanu saved Botesti from getting behind. Lucian Logofătu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Ovidiu Bourceanu made a huge save. If Damian Stroie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Irinel Zoreanu to make the kick off. When Lucian Logofătu fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Braila's protests and gave Lucian Logofătu a yellow card for diving instead. Ovidiu Bourceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciprian Galiceanu in the 58th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucian Logofătu in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ovidiu Bourceanu saved Botesti from getting behind. Lucian Logofătu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damian Stroie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ovidiu Bourceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovidiu Bourceanu came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Fc Braila's Damian Stroie. But to his dismay, Damian Stroie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Laurențiu Nițu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Francisc Alexandrescu fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botesti's protests and gave Francisc Alexandrescu a yellow card for diving instead. Francisc Alexandrescu kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Damian Stroie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ovidiu Bourceanu. Botesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Stroie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. With a little luck, Fc Braila's Laurențiu Nițu got control of the ball when Ionuț Lucrețiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Botesti's Ovidiu Bourceanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Stroie in the 89th minute of play. When Ionuț Lucrețiu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 89 minutes had been played. Ionuț Lucrețiu kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 94th minute of the match Remus Goma sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ovidiu Bourceanu skillfully saved the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Fc Braila had played much better football throughout.
