Dorel Smarandache's late challenge caught a Oltul Slatina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorel Smarandache helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute, Vlad Madgearu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rareș Mascovescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cătălin Blidaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Angheluță having to interfere. Cătălin Blidaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Stelian Radovan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Qu Yan Nan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Angheluță having to interfere. Red Blue Lions-returns were furious when Mihai Spiridon was red carded, 22 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Red Blue Lions-returns fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! 25 minutes into the match, Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Felix Angheluță had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Qu Yan Nan. Stelian Radovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Felix Angheluță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Oltul Slatina's Valeriu Curcă got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Radovan in the 30th minute of play forced Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Felix Angheluță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Angheluță was a little too slow when Qu Yan Nan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-1. The supporters of Oltul Slatina booed when Red Blue Lions-returns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Qu Yan Nan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Red Blue Lions-returns's Rareș Mascovescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlad Madgearu in the 37th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Qu Yan Nan took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Felix Angheluță to make any attempt to save it. When Dorin Mălaimare came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Red Blue Lions-returns fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorin Mălaimare couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vali Dragotescu in the 43rd minute of play forced Red Blue Lions-returns's goalkeeper Rareș Mascovescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Qu Yan Nan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stelian Radovan to strike the kick off in the second half. If Vlad Madgearu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Stelian Radovan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Red Blue Lions-returns fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Vlad Madgearu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rareș Mascovescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vlad Madgearu went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. 68 minutes into the game, Red Blue Lions-returns's Qu Yan Nan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felix Angheluță made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. 71 minutes into the match, Oltul Slatina's goal looked a bit too open when Qu Yan Nan came free, but Felix Angheluță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dorin Mălaimare during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rareș Mascovescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vali Dragotescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stelian Radovan hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Qu Yan Nan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Angheluță having to interfere. Costică Iacobeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Oltul Slatina's Valeriu Curcă got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 89th match minute, Oltul Slatina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cătălin Gârniceanu to maneuver through the defense. After 90 played minutes, Red Blue Lions-returns's Cătălin Blidaru shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Felix Angheluță came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Red Blue Lions-returns reached it. 92 minutes into the match, Vlad Madgearu notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Red Blue Lions-returns's Rareș Mascovescu. Rareș Mascovescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Red Blue Lions-returns's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
