In the 16th match minute, A4p SIAD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordache Chițu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of A4p SIAD booed when Universitatea Cluj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Vâtcă didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Virgil Marioteanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Ciuhandu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Universitatea Cluj's goal looked a bit too open when Iordache Chițu came free, but Dan Ciuhandu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Ciuhandu was left in no man's land by his defense there! 39 minutes into the game, Grigore Sfetcu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Gabriel Cârstoiu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dan Ciuhandu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgil Marioteanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 45 played minutes Adrian Barascu rounded A4p SIAD's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Grigore Sfetcu made a kick off. Dan Ciuhandu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iordache Chițu in the 55th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Virgil Marioteanu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dan Ciuhandu. That made the score 2-5 in the 56 minute of play. If Iordache Chițu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgil Marioteanu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 63rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A4p SIAD's Iordache Chițu got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Eliodor Cigu notched a goal, 2-7, to the right of Universitatea Cluj's Dan Ciuhandu. Dan Ciuhandu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Sfetcu in the 76th minute of play forced A4p SIAD's goalkeeper Gabriel Cârstoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Virgil Marioteanu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, A4p SIAD's Eliodor Cigu got a free kick in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, A4p SIAD's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Barascu came free, but Gabriel Cârstoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Ciuhandu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Virgil Marioteanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 94th minute, Eliodor Cigu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A4p SIAD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-9. The Universitatea Cluj fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. A4p SIAD were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
