Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Berbesul's Paul Răuţă started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Costin Nițisor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Basil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costin Nițisor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dragoş Elenescu charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dragoş Elenescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th match minute, Basil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dragoş Elenescu to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Hermengildo Idacio from long distance, 5 minutes into the match, got Narcis Murgescu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ernest Budianu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costin Nițisor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Petruț Liviu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Paul Răuţă came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Berbesul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Răuţă couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Avram Tărbac during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 played minutes Basil got a freekick which was hit by Avram Tărbac. Berbesul's Ernest Budianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragoş Elenescu in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute Paul Răuţă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narcis Murgescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petruț Liviu struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Narcis Murgescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berbesul. After having played for 24 minutes, Paul Răuţă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berbesul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul Răuţă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute Dragoş Elenescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Budianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Florin Glăvan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dragoş Elenescu in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernest Budianu saved Berbesul from getting behind. Berbesul's Ernest Budianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Zbughină in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Cazimir Grozuță managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Basil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cazimir Grozuță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Petruț Liviu's late challenge caught a Basil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petruț Liviu helped the player get up and apologised. Petruț Liviu kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Berbesul's Florin Glăvan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Florin Atodiresei, made in the 39th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rareș Isărescu in the 41st minute of play forced Berbesul's goalkeeper Ernest Budianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernest Budianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cazimir Grozuță in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Berbesul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Răuţă to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dragoş Elenescu was the one to do the kick off. Narcis Murgescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Răuţă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Costin Nițisor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernest Budianu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 62nd minute, Dragoş Elenescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernest Budianu came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Basil's Costin Nițisor. But to his dismay, Costin Nițisor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Narcis Murgescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Răuţă in the 75th minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Petruț Liviu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berbesul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petruț Liviu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the game, Basil's Cristian Zbughină nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernest Budianu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 84 minutes into the game, Cazimir Grozuță cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Ernest Budianu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ernest Budianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoş Elenescu in the 87th minute of play. Ernest Budianu came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Basil's Costin Nițisor. But to his dismay, Costin Nițisor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. A throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game was made by Florin Atodiresei with Rareș Isărescu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 93rd minute, Rareș Isărescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ernest Budianu. The goal made the score 0-7. The Berbesul fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Basil were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
