After some careless play in the Universitatea Cluj defense, Qu Yan Nan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dan Ciuhandu. The supporters of Universitatea Cluj booed when Red Blue Lions-returns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rareș Mascovescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adrian Barascu's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Qu Yan Nan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 minutes of play, Red Blue Lions-returns's Qu Yan Nan made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dan Ciuhandu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cătălin Blidaru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Red Blue Lions-returns got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Vişoiu. Grigore Sfetcu struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Rareș Mascovescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Universitatea Cluj. After 64 minutes, Nicu Vâtcă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Universitatea Cluj and the Red Blue Lions-returns players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Universitatea Cluj getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Nicu Vâtcă hit a great ball. Stelian Radovan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Dan Ciuhandu made a huge save. In the 67th minute, Red Blue Lions-returns's Qu Yan Nan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. In the 71st minute, Grigore Sfetcu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rareș Mascovescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. Emil Maruță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Rareș Mascovescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrian Barascu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rareș Mascovescu having to make a save. Universitatea Cluj's Dan Ciuhandu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Universitatea Cluj from getting a goal against them. Cătălin Blidaru scored 1-7 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dan Ciuhandu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dan Ciuhandu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cătălin Blidaru went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-8 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Red Blue Lions-returns's Cătălin Blidaru got a free kick in the 91st minute. Adrian Barascu struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Rareș Mascovescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Universitatea Cluj.
