Vintilă Taşcu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, CSA Steaua Bucuresti's Eusebiu Popic got a free kick in the 16th minute. Vintilă Mustăcilă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Sever Târban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Orescu's late challenge caught a Corbeanca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Orescu helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes CSA Steaua Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Martin Orescu. Sever Târban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vintilă Mustăcilă in the 22nd minute of the match. Filip Ignătescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sorin Hidiș fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corbeanca's protests and gave Sorin Hidiș a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th match minute, Corbeanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sorin Hidiș to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Corbeanca's goalkeeper Irinel Beniuc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filip Ignătescu. In the 41st minute, Vintilă Mustăcilă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sever Târban was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Corbeanca's Vintilă Mustăcilă got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Costin Petrescu to make the kick off. If Eliodor Jula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, CSA Steaua Bucuresti's Claudiu Alamaru got a free kick in the 58th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petrică Vlădean in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sever Târban prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Filip Ignătescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Irinel Beniuc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliodor Jula's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sever Târban read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Eliodor Jula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Târban having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Costin Petrescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Irinel Beniuc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Corbeanca's Vintilă Mustăcilă slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sever Târban. That made the score 1-5 after 80 minutes of play. Damian Ţugui hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. When CSA Steaua Bucuresti's Costin Petrescu in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corbeanca's goalie prevented a goal. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Corbeanca's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cezar Urduban was slow to take the kick. During this time CSA Steaua Bucuresti's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Cezar Urduban almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Corbeanca's Irinel Beniuc did a great save. Sorin Hidiș's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sever Târban firmly grabbed it by the left post. Eliodor Jula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Târban having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, CSA Steaua Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Vintilă Mustăcilă came free, but Sever Târban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Corbeanca booed when CSA Steaua Bucuresti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Popic didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corbeanca's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
