Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Denis Stanca made the kick off and thus started the match. Eduard Costescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horaţiu Haidău in the 2nd minute of the match. Pompiliu Eftimiu took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eduard Costescu. Eduard Costescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 8th minute, Alin Andriescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eduard Costescu came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Jiul Petrosani's Ioan Nuțu. But to his dismay, Ioan Nuțu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ioan Nuțu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduard Costescu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Eftimiu in the 17th minute of play forced Alsovroszi's goalkeeper Eduard Costescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 played minutes Alsovroszi got a freekick which was hit by Denis Stanca. When Radu Goiciu fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alsovroszi's protests and gave Radu Goiciu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th minute, Radu Goiciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Horia Condeescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jiul Petrosani's supporters rose to their feet, but Horia Condeescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduard Costescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernest Isbășoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alin Andriescu in the 35th minute of the match. Alsovroszi's Denis Stanca got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Alsovroszi's goal looked a bit too open when Pompiliu Eftimiu came free, but Eduard Costescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Paul Achiriloaie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Jiul Petrosani booed when Alsovroszi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alin Andriescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduard Costescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioan Nuțu in the 48th minute of play.

The wind increased when Ioan Nuțu made the kick off in the second half. Horaţiu Haidău struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Eduard Costescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jiul Petrosani. Ioan Nuțu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Horaţiu Haidău managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jiul Petrosani's supporters rose to their feet, but Horaţiu Haidău was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduard Costescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ioan Nuțu, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ioan Nuțu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eduard Costescu. That made the score 0-3 in the 71 minute of play. In the 74th minute, Dragoş Muntian made a precise shot to the right of Eduard Costescu. Alsovroszi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Ioan Nuțu struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Eduard Costescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jiul Petrosani. In the 80th match minute, Alsovroszi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Stanca to maneuver through the defense. Ioan Nuțu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the game, Horaţiu Haidău recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eduard Costescu. Horaţiu Haidău showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. If Alin Andriescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Alsovroszi's zone, Ioan Nuțu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduard Costescu came out of the goal and Ioan Nuțu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Alsovroszi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Jiul Petrosani were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
