But to his dismay, Anton Rogozea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corneliu Astafei in the 17th minute of play forced Galesul FC's goalkeeper Emanuel Stroie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Anton Rogozea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Stroie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corneliu Astafei, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ovidiu Popete got free with Emanuel Stroie in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Galesul FC's Emanuel Stroie got control of the ball when Ovidiu Popete tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emanuel Stroie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florin Măgherușan in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Rogozea in the 32nd minute of play forced FCC ICIM Arad's goalkeeper Irinel Cângea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FCC ICIM Arad's Ovidiu Popete got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Cristian Racoviceanu struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Irinel Cângea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galesul FC. 38 minutes into the match, Galesul FC's goalkeeper Emanuel Stroie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ovidiu Popete. With a little luck, Galesul FC's Emanuel Stroie got control of the ball when Ovidiu Popete tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ovidiu Popete could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Emanuel Stroie made a huge save. Galesul FC's Emanuel Stroie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Galesul FC from getting a goal against them. 45 minutes into the match, Galesul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Corneliu Astafei came free, but Emanuel Stroie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th match minute, FCC ICIM Arad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrei Vădan to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ovidiu Popete was the one to do the kick off. Ovidiu Popete hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After having played for 53 minutes, Cristian Racoviceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galesul FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Racoviceanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florin Măgherușan in the 55th minute of play forced Galesul FC's goalkeeper Emanuel Stroie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Stroie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidiu Popete in the 61st minute of the match. Emanuel Stroie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ovidiu Popete went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to FCC ICIM Arad getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Andrei Vădan hit a great ball. Anton Rogozea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irinel Cângea having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florin Măgherușan during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Galesul FC booed when FCC ICIM Arad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florin Măgherușan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Stroie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidiu Popete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Stroie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Astafei in the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Andrei Vădan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Galesul FC defense, Ovidiu Popete kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Stroie. The Galesul FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Stroie should have stopped the shot.
