Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Herla's Liviu Lucaci started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Radu Cutieru during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Irinel Cârnu had several of the Herford FCM's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 8 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Anıl Ozan Dahi as he didn't even see the shot coming. Liviu Lucaci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anıl Ozan Dahi having to interfere. With a little luck, Herford FCM's Anıl Ozan Dahi got control of the ball when Irinel Cârnu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Liviu Lucaci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anıl Ozan Dahi was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. With a little luck, Herford FCM's Anıl Ozan Dahi got control of the ball when Irinel Cârnu tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Liviu Lucaci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Moise Burdujan made a precise shot to the right of Gică Cârnațiu. Herla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Herla's Irinel Cârnu got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liviu Lucaci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Anıl Ozan Dahi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Herla's Calistrat Bordeanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anıl Ozan Dahi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calistrat Bordeanu in the 38th minute of play forced Herford FCM's goalkeeper Anıl Ozan Dahi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 40 in the game by Calistrat Bordeanu from a close distance when the talented Anıl Ozan Dahi managed to make a qualified save. Herford FCM's players were relieved. When Herla's Liviu Lucaci in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Herford FCM's goalie prevented a goal. 43 minutes into the game, Irinel Cârnu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Anıl Ozan Dahi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Ionel Bulă made the kick off in the second half. When Irinel Cârnu came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Herla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Irinel Cârnu couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute Irinel Cârnu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anıl Ozan Dahi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gică Cârnațiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionel Bulă in the 59th minute of play. Anıl Ozan Dahi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihăiţă Brezeanu in the 61st minute of the match. Anıl Ozan Dahi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Lucaci in the 62nd minute of play. Gică Cârnațiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionel Bulă in the 65th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Herford FCM's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Lucaci came free, but Anıl Ozan Dahi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Radu Cutieru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the game, Gică Constantin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Herford FCM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Herla the free kick. The supporters of Herla booed when Herford FCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gică Constantin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 played minutes Herla got a freekick which was hit by Mihăiţă Brezeanu. When Liviu Lucaci came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Herla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liviu Lucaci couldn't finish the play. Calistrat Bordeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Calistrat Bordeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, Liviu Lucaci left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Herla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. If Irinel Cârnu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Herla were the better team. Herla's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
