Petre Băncilă scored 0-3 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Radu Şchiopu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Ronaldinho Sanchez managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Berindel's Nichifor Todericiu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Petre Băncilă fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DOROBANTII's protests and gave Petre Băncilă a yellow card for diving instead. Ronaldinho Sanchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Pădureanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petre Băncilă in the 41st minute of play forced Berindel's goalkeeper Radu Şchiopu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Vinciguerra kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Berindel's zone, Ştefan Guguianu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radu Şchiopu came out of the goal and Ştefan Guguianu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonard Nistor to strike the kick off in the second half. When Leonard Nistor came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the DOROBANTII fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonard Nistor couldn't finish the play. Tudor Păvăloae took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ronaldinho Sanchez. DOROBANTII's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Berindel's Ionuț Ştati in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DOROBANTII's goalie prevented a goal. In the 58th match minute, DOROBANTII was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ştefan Guguianu to maneuver through the defense. Șerban Ciordaș lost his temper 61 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Berindel's goalkeeper Radu Şchiopu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Berindel fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. DOROBANTII were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
