RTP 2021's Boruc Pawlak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Nistor in the 4th minute of play. Boruc Pawlak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Iliescu in the 5th minute of play. Ronaldinho Sanchez was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ivan Oniga. After 12 played minutes RTP 2021 got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Oniga. Boruc Pawlak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Nistor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldinho Sanchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Cocea in the 19th minute of play. Albert Bourceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Sanchez having to interfere. Petre Băncilă hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Ştefan Guguianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute, Manuel Iliescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of DOROBANTII booed when RTP 2021 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Spânu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, DOROBANTII's Anselmo Ferraro tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Iliescu to make the kick off. When Leonard Nistor came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the DOROBANTII fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonard Nistor couldn't finish the play. RTP 2021 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of DOROBANTII for a fine match.
