CLUB GALATI's Paul Simionescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amos Cesaroni in the 29th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Batu Icardi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Simionescu was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Amos Cesaroni took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Simionescu. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The Brazesti fans cheered their team off the field, for while CLUB GALATI had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
