In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C Petru B.U.C's goalkeeper Peng Di, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alexandru Perișoară was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 37 minutes into the match. Horia Vuia hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Gaston Frederico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Peng Di tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gaston Frederico came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Ploca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Frederico couldn't finish the play. Gaston Frederico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute Cristi Sabău shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorel Lazăr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Dorel Lazăr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iosif Tuleiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Dorel Lazăr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisc Buteanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
