Spectators: 7809 (Terracing: 5961, Seating: 1828, VIP seats: 20) Corneliu Covaci started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 4 minutes, Damian Şimandan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CF CHELSEA and the Zimnicea players grew even worse after the yellow card. CF CHELSEA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zimnicea the free kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
