Ivar Olsson took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastian Țâpu. Sebastian Țâpu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After 41 minutes of play, Fulgerul Braila's Eusebiu Barbă made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastian Țâpu was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Ştefan Măcrineanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marian Avacariței kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
