Spectators: 7880 (Terracing: 6016, Seating: 1844, VIP seats: 20) Zimnicea's Teodor Unchiaşu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Zimnicea's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Mihuleac came free, but David Turlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th match minute, FC RAPID TÂRGOVIȘTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mădălin Buga to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Costică Paulescu got free with Marius Nicodim in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th minute, Mihail Iovanovici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FC RAPID TÂRGOVIȘTE's Araoz Vallejo got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute, Ştefan Cobâlcescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodor Unchiaşu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Zimnicea's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Mihuleac came free, but David Turlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Saldanha in the 34th minute of play forced Zimnicea's goalkeeper David Turlea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Turlea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Saldanha in the 35th minute of play. In the 40th minute Teodor Unchiaşu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Nicodim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constantin Mustăcilă took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Turlea. David Turlea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After the first half FC RAPID TÂRGOVIȘTE were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anthony Ryf made a kick off. Mihail Iovanovici received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. David Turlea came out and tried to block the shot, but Mihail Iovanovici slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 51st minute. FC RAPID TÂRGOVIȘTE's Marius Nicodim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodor Unchiaşu in the 55th minute of play. Costică Paulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Teodor Unchiaşu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marius Nicodim. FC RAPID TÂRGOVIȘTE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodor Unchiaşu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. In the 69th minute, one of Zimnicea:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zimnicea. David Turlea had in the 70thth minute some difficulties stopping Son Avcı's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Son Avcı had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Turlea. Zimnicea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Son Avcı was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. In the 74th minute, FC RAPID TÂRGOVIȘTE's Son Avcı seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Son Avcı the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC RAPID TÂRGOVIȘTE protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Son Avcı had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 74 played minutes FC RAPID TÂRGOVIȘTE got a freekick which was hit by Son Avcı. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Leonardo Saldanha got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 88th minute Fabian Mihuleac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Turlea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
