Spectators: 8033 (Terracing: 6025, Seating: 1848, VIP seats: 160) Teodor Unchiaşu made the kick off and thus started the match. Sergiu Găină received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. David Turlea came out and tried to block the shot, but Sergiu Găină slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. In the 9th match minute, Zimnicea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustin Lovinescu to maneuver through the defense. Martin Chiru went to the cornerflag to take it. Zimnicea's Ernest Dindelegan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aristide Gliga in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 16th minute of the match Zimnicea got a corner. Fulgerul Braila's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Martin Chiru ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Zimnicea's David Turlea got control of the ball when Eusebiu Barbă tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute, Ivar Olsson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of David Turlea, passed just outside the right post. Eusebiu Barbă might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Turlea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusebiu Barbă ran back to his position shaking his head. Aristide Gliga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodor Unchiaşu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Găină in the 23rd minute of play forced Zimnicea's goalkeeper David Turlea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zimnicea's David Turlea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Zimnicea from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Zimnicea's David Turlea got control of the ball when Eusebiu Barbă tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matei Bulgar's late challenge caught a Zimnicea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But to his dismay, Alexandru Chinezu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Eusebiu Barbăs short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got David Turlea to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 36 minutes into the match, Zimnicea's goal looked a bit too open when Sergiu Găină came free, but David Turlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zimnicea's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Silviu Murgescu scored to the left of an out of position David Turlea, making the score, 2-1. Aristide Gliga came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Zimnicea's Teodor Unchiaşu. But to his dismay, Teodor Unchiaşu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Matei Bulgar kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivar Olsson was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusebiu Barbă in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Turlea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The long shot by Petru Furdui in the 53rd minute really tested Aristide Gliga's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, Fulgerul Braila's Ion Gâgea got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute, Fulgerul Braila's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Teodor Unchiaşu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebiu Barbă in the 61st minute of play forced Zimnicea's goalkeeper David Turlea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fulgerul Braila:s Aristide Gliga showed great skill when he stopped Martin Chiru:s penalty. In the 68th minute, Eusebiu Barbă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Turlea was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After having played for 70 minutes, Ivar Olsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fulgerul Braila's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivar Olsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Turlea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebiu Barbă in the 76th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sergiu Găină during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Turlea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilie Enache in the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Eusebiu Barbă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Turlea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augustin Lovinescu kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
