In the 16th minute Alexandru Chinezu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Miconi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilio Miconi made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Teodor Unchiaşu sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd minute, Teodor Unchiaşu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, BANAT VIOLA's goalkeeper Emilio Miconi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costică Paulescu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teodor Unchiaşu in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilio Miconi saved BANAT VIOLA from getting behind. Martin Chiru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Emilio Miconi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodor Unchiaşu made a kick off. Ernest Dindelegan charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernest Dindelegan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Zimnicea fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 51st minute. Penalty! Zimnicea:s David Turlea showed great skill when he stopped Liviu Hănescu:s penalty. In the 52nd minute, Liviu Hănescu made a precise shot to the right of David Turlea. Zimnicea's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Ioan Ghinescu kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Emilian Comăneci struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. David Turlea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BANAT VIOLA. BANAT VIOLA made a substitution. Mihai Tatulici replaced Remus Vasiliu. Ernest Dindelegan hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Liviu Hănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. BANAT VIOLA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zimnicea the free kick. Iustinian Negulici kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Emilio Miconi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandru Chinezu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the game, Costică Paulescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Emilio Miconi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Zimnicea fans cheered their team off the field, for while BANAT VIOLA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
