A collision led to Academy 01 getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Daniel Jumancă hit a great ball. Hugo Pååk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florin Urseanu in the 6th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Academy 01's Denis Costescu got a free kick in the 8th minute. Hugo Pååk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florin Urseanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th match minute, Academy 01 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Iurea to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florin Urseanu in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Pååk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th minute, Academy 01's Codrin Coșmeanu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 34 minutes into the match, Inter Canesti's goalkeeper Hugo Pååk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Grigore Fărcașu. After 36 played minutes Academy 01 got a freekick which was hit by Codrin Dan. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baba Novac in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filip Râznicu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Filip Râznicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Eufemio, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 51 minutes, Lucian Florescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inter Canesti and the Academy 01 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Filip Râznicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baba Novac in the 56th minute of play. Inter Canesti were furious when Anton Șeitan was red carded, 60 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Baba Novac scored 1-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filip Râznicu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hugo Pååk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Urseanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Filip Râznicu made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Lucian Florescu sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute, Denis Costescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academy 01 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Ramon Eufemio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Râznicu having to interfere. In the 89th match minute, Inter Canesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baba Novac to maneuver through the defense. Academy 01 were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Inter Canesti to leave the ground with a draw.
