Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5875, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Baba Novac kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anton Șeitan during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anton Șeitan hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute of the match Mihail Pavalescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Pååk showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hugo Pååk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sever Tomulescu in the 6th minute of the match. Sever Tomulescu took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Pååk. Hugo Pååk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Baba Novac kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Sever Tomulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Universitatea Cluj's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sever Tomulescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Reus during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fc Universitatea Cluj's Marco Reus got a free kick in the 13th minute. Toader Andreescu kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Diederick Englebert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baba Novac got free with Ernest Inculeț in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute, Sever Tomulescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fc Universitatea Cluj fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Hugo Pååk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sever Tomulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd match minute, Inter Canesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toader Brad to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Pååk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sever Tomulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Sever Tomulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sever Tomulescu took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Pååk. Hugo Pååk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ernest Inculeț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baba Novac in the 47th minute of play.

Fc Universitatea Cluj's Jürgen Tihkan was substituted for Saul Soputan. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sever Tomulescu to make the kick off. Hugo Pååk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diederick Englebert, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the game, Dumitru Bosânceanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inter Canesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Universitatea Cluj the free kick. After 55 played minutes Inter Canesti got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Bosânceanu. Sever Tomulescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Hugo Pååk made a huge save. Hugo Pååk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sever Tomulescu in the 58th minute of the match. Anton Șeitan hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Hugo Pååk made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Sever Tomulescu sent off a good shot on target. After 63 minutes, Sever Tomulescu made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Inter Canesti's Hugo Pååk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Inter Canesti's Lucian Florescu got a free kick in the 65th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Fc Universitatea Cluj's Sever Tomulescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hugo Pååk. That made the score 0-6 after 69 minutes of play. 80 minutes into the match, Inter Canesti's goalkeeper Hugo Pååk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sever Tomulescu. Otsoa Manzardo's late challenge caught a Inter Canesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Otsoa Manzardo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, Fc Universitatea Cluj's Sever Tomulescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. In the 89th play minute Sever Tomulescu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hugo Pååk. 0-8. Inter Canesti's Hugo Pååk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Inter Canesti from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Inter Canesti's goalkeeper Hugo Pååk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sever Tomulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Hugo Pååk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fc Universitatea Cluj's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
