A collision led to Universitatea cluj getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Rareș Trif hit a great ball. The supporters of Jonis booed when Universitatea cluj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionel Trifu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emil Kociniewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandru Abrudan in the 12th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kubilay Akkaş in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emil Kociniewski saved Universitatea cluj from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristi Bădila got free with Emanuel Lucănescu in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emil Kociniewski came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Jonis's Kubilay Akkaş. But to his dismay, Kubilay Akkaş quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, Jonis's goal looked a bit too open when Lucian Baldovinescu came free, but Emanuel Lucănescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes, Lucian Baldovinescu made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Jonis's Emanuel Lucănescu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Emil Kociniewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kubilay Akkaş in the 31st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucian Baldovinescu in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Lucănescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emil Kociniewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kubilay Akkaş went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jonis's goalkeeper Emanuel Lucănescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucian Baldovinescu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jonis's goalkeeper Emanuel Lucănescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Leandro Damião sped through Jonis's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emanuel Lucănescu. The supporters of Universitatea cluj booed when Jonis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kubilay Akkaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonis's Emanuel Lucănescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucian Baldovinescu in the 79th minute of play. Ciprian Buzea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 87th play minutes Lucian Baldovinescu shot 5-2, a short shot which went by Emanuel Lucănescu and just under the crossbar into goal. When Jonis's Alexandru Abrudan in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Universitatea cluj's goalie prevented a goal. 92 minutes into the match, Jonis's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Niță came free, but Emanuel Lucănescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 98 played minutes Jonis got a freekick which was hit by Ciprian Buzea. Dorel Mârza was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 102nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
