Emanuel Lucănescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kubilay Akkaş might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mano Doro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kubilay Akkaş ran back to his position shaking his head. Mano Doro was a little too slow when Alexandru Abrudan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-1. Mano Doro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandru Abrudan, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 14 minutes F.C BUCURESTI's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dorel Mârza who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Jonis's Dorel Mârza to fire away a dangerous shot which Mano Doro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kubilay Akkaş's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mano Doro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gheorghe Mălin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gheorghe Mălin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Emanuel Lucănescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gheorghe Mălin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute Stelian Ciobica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Lucănescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Jonis's goal looked a bit too open when Stelian Ciobica came free, but Emanuel Lucănescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Jonis booed when F.C BUCURESTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petre Bălașa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonis's Dorel Mârza couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for F.C BUCURESTI. Mano Doro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciprian Buzea in the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Eric Cantemir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Lucănescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Lucănescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionică Calini in the 38th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Kubilay Akkaş could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Mano Doro however easily saved by the left post. After 40 played minutes F.C BUCURESTI got a freekick which was hit by Laurențiu Cucerzan. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gheorghe Mălin was the one to do the kick off. Jonis's Emanuel Lucănescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionică Calini in the 56th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Jonis got a freekick which was hit by Kubilay Akkaş. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Abrudan in the 59th minute of play forced F.C BUCURESTI's goalkeeper Mano Doro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonis's Emanuel Lucănescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionică Calini in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Alexandru Abrudan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jonis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Jonis's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Ionică Calini scored to the left of an out of position Emanuel Lucănescu, making the score, 4-3. In the 81st match minute, F.C BUCURESTI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Cucerzan to maneuver through the defense. Mano Doro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandru Abrudan, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. F.C BUCURESTI's Emil Jerca was substituted for Ionică Calini. In the 85th minute Jonis were awarded a corner. Dorel Mârza went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Ciprian Buzea got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mano Doro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Emanuel Lucănescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gheorghe Mălin in the 87th minute. Emil Jerca took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emanuel Lucănescu. Emanuel Lucănescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. F.C BUCURESTI made a substitution. Jonis succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though F.C BUCURESTI had controlled the match.
